"Magazine" Interview - The Cat's Whiskers
TCW's Outlook and Vision for the Future

Question 1. What are your thoughts looking back on Road to Legend?
Saimon: It was a good opportunity for TCW to be able to take on a different type of challenge. The results are very frustrating, but improving oneself through adversity is part of what hiphop is all about. We will continue to look towards the future, not the past.Yohei: Even if it stings to admit it, BAE's song was also really good. If there's gonna be a next time, I don't plan on losing again.
Shiki: I feel the same way... I feel like these battles have given me a lot to think about. Being able to listen to so many artists' songs and meet new friends was a big part of it for me.
Ryu: By new friends, do you mean Rokuta? Actually, come to think of it, he still hasn't shown Ryu-kun how to crumple up a frying pan yeeeet~!
Yohei: I'd better not catch you doing that at the bar.
Ryu: Hey, hey, Masterrrr, Ryu-kun wants to eat that stuff again! The cheesy ojiya!
Yohei: How many times I gotta tell you, it's risotto.
Saimon: I will never forget the dinner that we had together when Ryu came back home. That was a very important day for all of us.
Ryu: We've all got lots of precious memories! Keep your eye on the Super-Duper Explosively Powerful Kittycats in TCW from here on out~!
Question 2. What are your plans for the future?
Saimon: During our battle with BAE, we tried to take some experimental risks with our song composition. We felt that we needed to evolve, just as they had done, to rise to the challenge of being their opponents in battle.Yohei: But we also didn't want to just cast aside what makes us, us. We've got no intention of letting up in the future. I'm certain that soon we're going to surpass even Buraikan in their prime.
Ryu: Oooh, Master is so cooool~! Oh, and it's amazing, even Shikki has been learning to play piano, too!
Shiki: --! I just... I wanted to do something to contribute, and so I just thought that...
Yohei: I'm of a mind to agree. You think you wanna take a shot at composing a song next time?
Shiki: A song--!? I, I don't know if I could do something like that...
Saimon: Even if it doesn't happen immediately, you can just take it a little bit at a time to weave the sounds born within you. I would love to one day hear the music you create, Shiki.
Ryu: Beep beep! Shikki's inspiration has been received! May it grow into delicious shinbones!! munchmunchmunchmunch
Question 3. What message do you have for all of the heads?

Even though the results were disappointing this time... it made me really happy to receive so much support from more heads than ever before. Your words of support and cheers... they encouraged me a lot. I believe that your words of support have made me more determined to surpass what I've been able to do before. So, from the bottom of my heart... thank you very much.

I was thrilled to hear everyone cry, "Ryu-kun is the greatest! Ryu-kun is the best in the whole universe! Ryu-kun is the ultimate kneecap!"! Thanks to everyone who gave it up for us. I feel like more people than ever before are starting to get our sound. That's why there's a lot of people who are just as frustrated as us about this outcome. They may not say it out loud, but they feel it and carry that around inside them... we'll take all those thoughts and feelings and put them into our music from here on out. We're not stopping yet.
