Spoon2D.i Vol. 115: Cast Interview

This issue's alt cover features the Yatonokami Kanata-san and Inukai Yuto-san, the leaders of cozmez and GokuLuck, the groups who will be facing off in the first "Battle of Unity" round! We spoke with the two of them about their new songs and what they're looking forward to in Battle of Unity!

Kanata Interview

I don't care if it's a team match or whatever; a battle is a battle. We don't intend to let our guard down on stage for an instant.

Q1: "Battle of Unity" is a team battle, and cozmez is on the Revengers team; this places you on the same team as VISTY, AMPRULE, and Akan Yatsura. What are your impressions of your teammates?
What impressions I've got of them? Nothing in particular. I don't really care who we're forced to team up with. As long as they don't drag us down with them, it's whatever. Doesn't matter if it's a team match or whatever, because cozmez are still going to win hands down."

Q2: What sorts of feelings did you put into your new song, "We gotta go"? Please share any memories you have of making the song and if you have any points you'd like to highlight.
This time around we're going to take everything from the other teams who got what we should have gotten. I made the song super dope to kick not only GokuLuck's ass, but all of the other teams along with them. Nayuta and I have both improved our skills to the point that there's no point comparing us to what's come before, so we're going to decide it here and now.

Q3: Your teammate in cozmez is your younger twin brother, Yatonokami Nayuta; what kind of person is he to you?
There's no point explaining it. I wouldn't be standing here without Nayuta. cozmez exists because of Nayuta.

Q4: Please share what you're looking forward to about "Battle of Unity", and share a message with our readers who are looking forward eagerly to the battle!
I don't care if it's a team match or whatever; a battle is a battle. We don't intend to let our guard down on stage for an instant. If you're reading this, come to the venue and put your hands in the air for us. If the energy gets lukewarm we'll just blast it away. That's all.

Yuto Interview

Q1: "Battle of Unity" is a team battle, and cozmez is on the Avengers team; this places you on the same team as BAE, The Cat's Whiskers, and 1Nm8. What are your impressions of your teammates?
I've been able to make relationships with the members of BAE through previous battles, but I haven't had much chance to talk to the members of The Cat's Whiskers or 1Nm8 very much yet, so I hope that this is an opportunity to strength our friendships with each other! I think we all have different strengths when it comes to music, so I'm hoping that we'll be able to have a good team dynamic.

Q2: What sorts of feelings did you put into your new song, "Born this way"? Please share any memories you have of making the song and if you have any points you'd like to highlight.
Mikoshiba-kun's preferences led us to create quite an aggressive song. Everyone worked together on the lyrics with the core image of the survival of the fittest being the law of the wild. In day to day life, I think "survival of the fittest" is a bit of a harsh way to view things, but in battle, I think sometimes there's no other way. I hope that this song gives us a lot of momentum and helps us contribute to our team.

Q3: Your teammates in GokuLuck are Tosa Ryoga-san, Kaida Shion-san, and Mikoshiba Kenta-san; what kind of people are they to you?
They are very reliable people... um, at least, they are on stage... admiteddly, they exhibit a lot of problematic behaviors in day-to-day life, but they're definitely growing a lot through music. I think that there is a lot more mutual trust in our relationship now compared to when we first formed the group, and I'd like to think you can call us comrades.

Q4: Please share what you're looking forward to about "Battle of Unity", and share a message with our readers who are looking forward eagerly to the battle!
Thank you very much for always rooting for GokuLuck. "Battle of Unity" will be a new challenge for us to face, but we hope that you will see how GokuLuck have evolved since our last battle. We sincerely appreciate your continued support.
