Recently, Hokusai and I made a DIY birdhouse together! This was not simply idle play; this was the creation of a castle meant to protect the life of a small living creature! So we put our heart and soul into every nail we drove! It was a truly wonderful experience to welcome a new family member!
The shop always gets very busy at Christmas, so it's difficult to get everyone together, but because of that, the boys get very excited about picking out Christmas presents! I can think of no better mental fortitude training than hose times when I imagine the happy faces of my family and pick something out; it gives me all the energy I need to get through the busy event days at the shop!

I almost bombed a test so bad the other day that it actually got me a bit worried. I was really lucky that I didn't completely flunk it, so I don't gotta take remedial classes! But man, why couldn't there have been a breakdancing part on the test? If there was I would'a aced it no problem!
These really dope basketball shoes! I don't care if it's Christmas or whatever, I'll take on Reo and Hokusai on the usual court! Even if Hokusai's way bigger than me, he doesn't stand a chance. A real man never pulls his punches in a fight. I'll crush them both even if it's two-on-one!

Chisei's unwavering confidence that "things will work out" sometimes causes a lot of trouble. Even on our motorcycle trip, he laughed it off and said we "definitely had enough to make it to the next town", but we ended up almost running out of gas in the middle of nowhere. ... but, I suppose I remember the sunset we saw at the time fondly.
A long time ago, Chisei gave me a very flashy red and green fishing lure. Very flashy lures are very effective in the low light before sunrise. I have fond memories of being able to catch a rare fish, thanks to that lure... but Chisei didn't tell me that it was a Christmas present until after I told him my thoughts on it. Well, I suppose that's in-character for him.
