There's only a few sleeps left until Christmas, and to the Yatonokami twins' birthday? In this exclusive cozmez interview we've asked about everything from what's been up recently to their thoughts on Santa(!).

December 24th is not only Christmas Eve, but also the birthday of Yatonokami Kanata and Nayuta from cozmez! So this month's issue has a special feature on cozmez. First, let's take a look back at what happened this year for cozmez and appreciate the memories. But that's not all: we also asked the two members of cozmez 20 questions, so you can learn something you didn't know about Kanata and Nayuta! Generally a very dry and unfriendly type, but he has absolute trust in his older brother, Kanata. He's friends with Shiki from The Cat's Whiskers. He is aware of the true nature of Santa.Yatonokami Kanata

At first, Kanata wasn't interested in particpating in the Battle of Unity, but once Nayuta said that he was glad just to have the chance to stand onstage with Kanata again, he had a change of heart. They took the victory against GokuLuck and built the Revengers' lead with their new song, "Instinct".
Seasonal Show
On the Seasonal Show, a shuffle project that transcended team boundaries, both Kanata and Nayuta were on team Winter. The two performed impeccably on the song, but during the game livestream, they were too in their own world and didn't really take the time to deepen their relationships with anyone...
The two of them were on the "Reindeer Team" in a cooperative cooking game. When Mikoshiba-kun called them 'useless part-timers', things got tense...!
Live & Event
At Paradox Live Dope Space, we were able to see a live reading of Kanata and Nayuta speaking on the rooftop before the Road to Legen finals. At the first fan festival, Dope Box, we were treated to a fun three-shot of Koayashi Yusuke, Toyonaga Toshiyuki, and cozmez's lyricist, GASHIMA.
Other
As part of the collab with "KING OF PRISM - Your Endless Call~ Everyone's Sparkle! Prism ✰ Tours", Kanata had an encounter with a Prism Star.
The official spinoff "Paralove Academy" held a "Midsummer Mirage" event for the Paralove Academy seaside school! It seems like everyone had a good time.
20 Questions for Kanata & Nayuta!
We asked about everything from recent happenings to the things they want to say to each other to the annual(...?) Santa-related questions!Q: What's something you've been doing a lot of recently?
Kanata: Been skateboarding in the middle of the night on deserted roads, lately. Nayuta's been filming while on rollerblades. Been getting some pretty good-looking footage, it's sick.
Nayuta: Like Kanata said, probably filming Kanata skateboarding. But to be honest, I don't do it on nights when I'd rather be sleeping.
Q: What's been your favorite belonging recently?
Kanata: Some clothes Nayuta made for me. His alterations are the best, for real. I've been wearing a bunch of them lately.
Nayuta: An alien-shaped keychain that I got at some general store that I don't even remember the name of. But I lost it somewhere while I was out the other day. It really sucks.
Q: What's the best thing you've eaten recently?
Kanata: Frozen ramen. It's so wild that you can eat something that delicious just by throwing it in the microwave. But I kind of want to eat Raimentei's ramen sometime soon.
Nayuta: Meat buns. Nothing beats them on a cold day.
Q: What's something you bought recently?
Kanata: A new mic. The mic we were using for recording wasn't working right so I bought a new one.
Nayuta: It's not really something I "bought", but there was this cushion I got at an arcade. If I let Kanata try to win it I'd never get it; he always tries way too hard and ends up knocking things out of the range of the crane machine claw.
Q: Where's somewhere you'd like to visit soon?
Kanata: I don't really have anywhere I want to go in particular, but if Nayuta wants to go somewhere then I'll just take him there.
Nayuta: Kanata took me to an amusement park recently, so maybe next time we should go to an aquarium or something. But I hate being around a bunch of people, so we'd have to rent it out for private use.
Q: What's been your favorite dish to make as of late?
Kanata: I hardly ever cook in the first place. I just want whatever I can heat up in the microwave and eat right away.
Nayuta: Lately I've mostly just been making stuff where all you have to do is heat it up. I can just barely manage fried rice.
Q: What's something that [Nayuta/Kanata] has been doing recently that's given you grief?
Kanata: Sometimes he buys way too many used clothes. But when he smiles and says that he bought stuff that he thinks I'd look good in I don't know what I'm supposed to do about it.
Nayuta: He keeps blowing stuff up in the microwave. He keeps messing up bentos and the eggs in side dishes and stuff like that all the time. It's about time he learns what stuff you can't put in the microwave.
Q: Tell us something heartwarming that [Nayuta/Kanata] did recently!
Kanata: The other day when I fell asleep while I was working on a track, Nayuta put a blanket over me while I was sleeping.
Nayuta: On his way back home, Kanata bought me my favorite ice cream. He bought every flavor and told me to choose which one I wanted. I was really happy.
Q: What's an interaction you had recently with a member of another team?
Kanata: I mean, I guess I ran into the muscle gorilla from Akan Yatsura the other day. He gave me a shitton of vegetables even though I didn't ask for them. I don't even know how to cook those things.
Nayuta: I went to a record store with Shiki for the first time in a long while. As always, he knows a lot about music I've never heard of, it's really impressive.
Q: What are your thoughts on Santa?
Kanata: I really want to know exactly what kind of guy puts on a red suit and goes around once a year giving people shit they want for free.
Nayuta: I don't really have any thoughts one way or the other. If Kanata says he's going to catch him, then he's going to catch him.
Q: What's something you'd like to say to Santa?
Kanata: Oi, Santa, you old fuck. If you're reading this, get ready. I'm going to catch you for real this year. Just wait and see.
Nayuta: Kanata's really serious this year.
Q: Please give us a Christmas message for our readers!
Kanata: If anyone reading has seen that old fuck, Santa, contact me.
Nayuta: I don't have anything to say. I'm going to have a good time with Kanata, so the rest of you can just go do whatever the hell you want.
Q: Between the two of you, who is the stronger competitor?
Kanata: I haven't really thought about it much. But when it comes to battles we both have this really intense mindset that we're going to blow everyone away. So it's not either one of us, but both of us, or something?
Nayuta: Kanata, 100%. When he makes up his mind he'll do something, he does it. He often tries tricks on his skateboard that he's never done before and he nails it on the first try.
Q: What would you like to give the other for your birthday this year (even if it isn't a physical gift)?
Kanata: I wanna buy Nayuta a big cake. Something fancy that really says "Christmas".
Nayuta: Maybe a new skateboard deck. If his deck broke on the day he wanted to go out skating it'd be a real pain in the ass.
Q: Between Kanata and Nayuta, who's more observant of their surroundings?
Kanata: That one's gonna be Nayuta. I only care about Nayuta and myself so I don't really pay attention to anything else.
Nayuta: Me, I guess. Kanata doesn't really like talking to anyone but me, but I'm not particularly interested in other people in the first place.
Q: When it comes to [Nayuta/Kanata], what is one thing you think you can't possibly beat him at?
Kanata: His fashion sense. For real, Nayuta has amazing taste. It's seriously amazing how he can make clothes you'd never think would suit us look great together.
Nayuta: His songwriting skills. I think the songs Kanata makes are the best in the entire world. From how easily he can write lyrics to how effortlessly he can put together a hook, it's seriously too cool.
Q: Between the two of you, who gets their way more often?
Kanata: Nayuta. No matter what I say, I always end up doing what Nayuta wants. It's kind of unfair, but whatever.
Nayuta: Me, I guess. It's not that I'm trying to wheedle my way out of doing things, it's just that Kanata is really nice and always listens to me.
Q: What do you want right now?
Kanata: Right now? Pepper spray or a taser. If Santa shows his face I'm gonna knock his ass flat.
Nayuta: A hamburger. I didn't eat before we got here. So I wanna eat something big with a lot of meat. But I want two because Kanata's probably gonna want one, too.
Q: Who is the more tidy person, Kanata or Nayuta?
Kanata: Obviously Nayuta, right? He picks up and throws away all the pages from my lyric notebook that I just crumpled up and tossed aside.
Nayuta: Definitely Kanata. He always actually gathers all the clothes that I leave lying around on the floor up to the side of the room.
Q: What's something that you'd like to say to [Nayuta/Kanata] on your birthday?
Kanata: That I think Nayuta's absolutely the best brother ever. Without him I never would have been able to make it this far, so I really need him to stay with me from now on, too, or I'll be screwed.
Nayuta: That Kanata is the best big brother and the best teammate ever. Kanata's the one who makes cozmez's sound possible. Let's keep making the best music together.
