[sfx: Restaurant noises]
Chisei: You know you don't have anything to prove. You can just leave it all up to the part-timers like you did during Road to Legend.
Haruomi: It's going to take longer this time. I don't want to put all of that on them. It won't taste as good.
Chisei: Come to think of it, your number of customers did decrease for a bit there.
Haruomi: ...
[sfx: faucet turning off]
Chisei: Ahaha, sorry, sorry. Things are back to normal now, yeah? Or, actually, even a bit busier than you used to be?
[sfx: setting a pot down, turning a faucet on and then off]
Haruomi: Yeah.
[sfx: splashing, scrubbing, splashing]
Chisei: You really treasure this old shop, huh.
Haruomi: It's the only thing my father left behind. I can't let it fall into disrepair.
[sfx: scrubbing]
Chisei: ... hm.
Haruomi: What.
Chisei: No, I was just thinking that maybe you inherited that stupid level of seriousness from your old man, too.
Haruomi: ...
[sfx: scrubbing stops]
Chisei: ... Ah. ... sorry.
Haruomi: ... no, it's fine. It's not like it's taboo to mention my father or something. I'm over it now.
Chisei: ... but, I don't think this shop is the only thing your father left behind.
Haruomi: ...?
Chisei: His greatest asset was Buraikan's own Shura, Shingu Haruomi. You.
Haruomi: ...
Chisei: You risked your life to try and protect me.
Haruomi: ...
Chisei: Well! I guess I'm the one who benefitted from that inheritence, more than his very own son did. But he left behind his greatest treasure in the world just for me. That's really something, isn't it?
Haruomi: ... don't say stupid things.
[sfx: splashing, scrubbing]
Haruomi: [sigh] That ought to do it.
Chisei: You done?
Haruomi: Yeah. With that, it shouldn't be too much of a problem if I'm away for a while.
Chisei: Ooh, you really scrubbed it all 'til it shined! You really put in the work in, considering you're just one guy, Haruomi.
Haruomi: ... tsk.
Chisei: Don't give me that face. If I tried to help out, it'd just make extra work, right?
Haruomi: [sigh]
Chisei: So instead! While you were cleaning up the place, I made up a sign for outside to announce that you're going to be closed for a while. Complete with a Yasha-san signature. Check it out!
[sfx: paper]
Haruomi: [reading] "I'm going on a trip to visit some places that hold a lot of fond memories of my partner, so I'll be away for a while. Sorry 'bout that."
Chisei: What'cha think? Got a great feel to it, right?
Haruomi: Tch. This is completely ridiculous. Get rid of it.
Chisei: Whaaat?
Haruomi: More to the point, I already put a notice up.
Chisei: What? For real?
Haruomi: I'm planning on heading out tonight.
Chisei: A nighttime driving tour! I love it. It's been a long time, huh?
Haruomi: Mm. I plan to go until dawn.
Chisei: We used to do that a lot when we were just starting out, didn't we?
Haruomi: Mm. We'd be in the middle of a song and suddenl you'd want to head out to a beach in the middle of the night. Even if I tried to argue, you wouldn't listen.
Chisei: It's nice to have a change of pace every now and then. Times like that, that's the thing I really wanna listen to. But instead, we always just made amazing songs, right?
Haruomi: Well, I won't say no.
Chisei: [laughs] We were crazy back then, though.
Haruomi: We wanted as many people as possible to hear Buraikan's sound. We didn't care about anything else.
Chisei: But we made our way to the top in no time not long after that. ... heh! Don't tell me this is our goal line.
Haruomi: Of course not.
[sfx: walking]
Haruomi: Let's go.
Chisei: Hah? That's all the luggage you've got?
[sfx: footsteps]
Haruomi: The bare minimum is all I need.
Chisei: Is that so? I guess that hasn't changed about you. Well! Shall we go, then?
[sfx: engine turning over, foot steps, car doors closing]
Chisei: Oh? This old thing...?
Haruomi: I gave the engine a tuneup. It can run faster than it ever could before.
Chisei: Oh?
Haruomi: Buraikan's the same way.
Chisei: Hm?
Haruomi: I'm sure we can go faster than before. The you and I of right now, we can go right up to the very limits of speed and then blast past it.
Chisei: Aha. Okay, partner.
[sfx: Engine revving]
Haruomi: Where to?
Chisei: As long as it's with you, anywhere's good.
Haruomi: ... hm.
Chisei: Heh.
Haruomi: ... heh.
[sfx: sportscar revving and fading into the distance]
