Allen: ... ... ... it... it... it... IT'S HERE!!!!
Hajun: What is it? It's entirely too early to be yelling that loud.
Allen: It's here! It's here it's here it's here it's here it's here!!
Hajun: Were you struck by inspiration again? If it is, please use a piece of paper like a normal person. The walls of this apartment are not for writing on.
Allen: That's not it!!
Hajun: Oh? Is it not?
Allen: It's just...!!
[sfx: door opening]
Anne: Then what? What's here?
Allen: Their reply is here!! It's from Shura-san from Buraikan!!
Anne: Oh! So it's the round information for the tournament!
Hajun: They've made their decision, then?
Allen: Yeah!
Allen: Okay... it's time to open it...!
Hajun and Anne: Yeah.
Allen: ... ...
Anne: Hurry up and open it!
Allen: It's just...! My heart is beating really fast! I mean... Shura-san of Buraikan sent me a direct message! Oh, that's right...! To make sure I don't accidentally delete it, first I have to... just have to... [tap tap tap] Okay! Now I can print it out later, frame it, and hang it up! My Buraikan collection is going to have a brand new item added to iiiit....!! [deranged laughter] From Shura-san to me! I'm so happy!! [deranged laughter continues]
Anne: Allen...
Hajun: [sigh] You're making too big of a deal out of this. You have now met Shura in person and had face-to-face conversations with him multiple times.
Allen: Yeah, but that's different!
Hajun: We even called them on the phone when we deceided on the Battle of Unity name.
Allen: Yeah but you did that, Hajun.
Hajun: And you were the one who immediately passed the phone to me as soon as they picked up and said [doing an impression of Allen] "What do I say? I don't know what to say!" [/impression of Allen], were you not?
Allen: ...!
Anne: Okay, okay, that's enough. Don't look so sad, Allen.
Allen: I just...! [mumbled] Wanted to talk to Shura-san too.
Anne: What a pain in the neck.
Hajun: It's all just business procedure. So let's hurry up and look at the message.
Anne: Yes, let's!
Allen: [deep breath] ... okay! Let's go!
[tap]
Allen: [reading] "To BAE...
Haruomi('s DM): The unit divisions and round matchups for the Battle of Unity have been decided as you have requested. The eight teams who have expressed their intention to participate have been divided into two units: Revengers and Avengers. There will be four one-on-one battle rounds. Upon completion of these four rounds, one entire unit will be declared the winner, and the winner will be determined by overall number of points.
The four Revengers teams (Unit R) will consist of cozmez, AMPRULE, VISTY, and Akan Yatsura.
The four Avengers teams (Unit A) will consist of GokuLuck, The Cat's Whiskers, 1Nm8, and BAE.
Each team will...
Allen: [reading] ... participate in the rounds in the same order as listed above." That's all it says.
Hajun: "Revengers" and "Avengers"... both essentially mean "someone who seeks vengeance".
Anne: Makes sense to me.
Allen: So if the battles are in the same order as they were listed out, then...
Anne: First up will be cozmez versus GokuLuck?
Hajun: Who would have thought they'd put the two groups who made it to the Road to Legend finals first out the gate? [laughs] That's very Buraikan of them.
Allen: It's not just that, but it feels like musically they're polar opposites from each other, but they have really aggressive lyrics and biting tracks in common, and...
Hajun: Hm. They've both been at the absolute lowest rungs of society, so perhaps they have some common ground when it comes to unruly behavior?
Anne: [sigh] Hajun.
Hajun: But in a sense, they're both teams that represent the origins of hiphop and are symbolic of the road up from the bottom. Those of us who have gone up against them know how threatening they both are.
Anne: Right? You've got cozmez, who won the first Paradox Live by sheer force, and GokuLuck have a lot of momentum coming off the eight-man tourmanent. I'm sure they're really gonna start off the first match with a real bang and an exciting battle!
Allen: It's super exciting just to imagine it...!
Hajun: And after that is... [laughs] AMPRULE will be going up against TCW? How interesting.
Anne: They're both teams that stick really hard to their own styles, right? The traditional and elegant sounds are really impressive, though.
Allen: Yeah. They've both got these unparalleled tightly-composed worldviews. The more you listen to them, the more you get drawn in. They've create these multi-layered sounds and they're both teams who are super skilled with words, so their lyrics are worth paying attention to, too.
Hajun: TCW have confidence in the traditions they follow, but I wonder how AMPRULE are going to respond to that? I must admit I'm looking forward to that, myself.
Anne: Hajun.
Allen: You're making a really scary face again.
Hajun: You're imagining things~.
Anne and Allen: ...
Anne: Well, I have to admit I'm pretty curious about the combination we've got for the third matchup.
Hajun: Yes. Apparently, Miyama Kei from 1Nm8 used to be a member of VISTY.
Anne: Yeah. His sudden departure was all over the news.
Allen: Was it?
Hajun and Anne: ... [sigh]
Allen: Ah, well, I'm just really not that interested in anything but music...
Hajun: It's not "not that interested", it completely passes you by.
Allen: Ehehehh...
Hajun: At any rate, putting together a team who have a history together like that will certainly make for an interesting match.
Anne: You've got the apparent charismatic geniuses in 1Nm8, versus VISTY who have been putting in the hard work to improve. Though they're in completely different situations, they're both really good at making really clear and catchy music.
Hajun: I wonder which one will appeal to the heads more? It's quite the interesting matchup. ... and then, in the final round, you have us.
Anne: Versus Akan Yatsura, huh?
Allen: This is the first time we've gone up against them directly since VIBES, isn't it?
Hajun: Yes. Unfortunately, we didn't get the cahnce for a rematch in the Road to Legend tournament.
Anne and Allen: ...!
Hajun: They'll be a tough opponent.
Anne: For sure.
Allen: ... mm. Five people bound by a super strong bond... the explosion that results from their vibes resonating with each other pack a serious punch. It's so strong it overwhelms everything around them.
Hajun: So it does. And they're very good at getting the heads involved in their live shows... it's very frustrating to admit, but you can't help but keep an eye on it.
Allen: ... Hajun?
Hajun: What? Why are you looking at me like that?
Allen: For you to praise another team so openly, I kinda wonder if we're going to see pigs flying tomorrow.
Hajun: I'm simply stating the facts as I see them. To put it simply, their ethos is completely different from ours, but Akan Yatsura and we have something in common regarding musicality.
Anne: It comes down to who can get the floor more amped up and dancing more, right?
Allen: So we're going to have to show off what we learned in Road to Legend in this matchup. I wonder if that's what Buraikan are trying to tell us here?
Hajun: I suppose if you wanted to take it like that. If so, let's make sure to show that to them. We'll take everything we've learned from the long string of battles leading up to this point and put that into our sound.
Anne: For sure. We'll bust down any wall that stands in our way, and get there one step before anyone else does. That's what makes us BAE, right?
Allen: ...! I feel like something's lit a fire in me! Let's start working on our song for the Opening Show right away! We're gonna hit 'em hard from the word go!
Hajun: Fine by me. There have been a few phrasings I've been wanting to utilize in our next--
Allen: [overlapping] It was already coming to me yesterday when I was in the bath, and--
Hajun and Allen: ...
Anne: Why am I not surprised?
Hajun and Allen: [laughing]
Anne: So, which of you wants to go first?
Allen: Rock paper scissors for it!
Hajun: Too much effort. Go ahead, Allen.
Allen: Oh, really? Uh, feel free to interrupt...
